Winter Skincare

Most of us love Winter. The coziness of the season and the overall vibes are just too tempting and comfy to ignore. We all love snuggling in a warm bed after a long day, in a hot bath or with a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. Such are the little pleasures that Winter brings. However, not everything about Winter makes us so exuberant. Your skin is one such thing. The Winter season can be the worst for your skin as it takes away necessary moisture and makes the skin feel dry and appear dull. However, you don’t have to live with moisture less skin. With proper care and precautions, you can protect and enhance your skins beauty throughout the Winter. Let us now look at a few ways in which to do this.

1. Moisturize Your Skin:
Winter can be dry and lack humidity; this is the reason why our skin tends to get very dry in the Winter. The result is sallow and dull skin that may peel and result in noticeable flakes on the skin. This not only causes your skin to lose its glow and radiance, but may bring about skin-related problems. This is why it’s so important to frequently moisturize your skin. Choose a product according to your skin type and moisturize your skin at least twice a day. This will hydrate and add moisture to the skin whilst keeping it soft and dewy.

2. Keep Your Skin Hydrated:

In hot seasons, we drink lots of water and other liquids which hydrate our skin and keep it healthy. However, in colder seasons, we tend to drink less amounts of water. This results in skin dehydration. You must consciously drink plenty of water during the Winter months to keep your skin hydrated. Even if you are not feeling thirsty, make it a routine to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to ensure healthy and radiant skin.

3. Wear Sunscreen:
In Summer, we tend to wear sunscreen on a routine basis, because we see that the sun is out and it’s hot. However, we do not follow this practice in the Winter; wearing sunscreen on a routine basis will protect the skin against harmful rays. No matter your skin tone brown to light, we all need to wear sunscreen on a daily basis.

No matter what your skin type is, follow these easy tips for beautiful skin all Winter long.
