Men’s Skin Care Tips
When we think “skincare” about 95% of us are going to think WOMEN but, MEN…what about your skin? It needs and deserves all the love and care too. A man’s skin is thicker than a woman’s and they create a lot more oil, their pores are usually larger and more than likely, they are using the nearest bar of soap to wash their face. This causes a complete imbalance of the oil and water levels and leaves the surface tight, flaky and red.
Yikes!
In my office, I treat a lot of men who just don’t know how or what to wash their face with and have a hard time staying consistent with a basic regimen. I try to keep it super simple, start with a gentle cleanser unless they suffer from acne, then we get a bit more aggressive with cleansers that are anti-bacterial and may have exfoliating beads in it to help with deep cleansing and slowing the production of oil. I also recommend a basic, light moisturizer
There are a number of benefits for men to starting a basic skin-care routine:

- Shaving will be easier, skin less irritated and inflamed, and you’ll experience less ingrown hairs, too.
