Stress, weather, products, can all affect the condition of out skin. Are you taking care of your skin properly this season?
Tip 1: Go Heavier On The Moisturizer
You hear me say this all the time and I’m going to repeat it, as the seasons change, so does your skin. We have heat on in the house and car and the cold weather zaps the moisture out of our skin as well. This is the time to go a little heavier with the moisturizer. Incorporate Gel Moisturizers to use under active serums and don’t forget the delicate eye area. For tightening and lifting, try Vivant’s WINK and for every day moisture, try Face Reality’s Peptide Eye Gel

Tip 2: Use Humidifiers and Air Purifiers
This was a huge game changer for me. My Air purifier stays on all night and I haven’t had any issues with allergies in months! Humidifiers are not only good for you, but for your plants too! Having more moisture in the air keeps your skin soft and hydrated, leaving it more even toned and when the skin is hydrated, it helps fade hyperpigmentation and heal inflammation.
Tip 3: Ceramides
Ceramides decrease with transepidermal water loss. These natural lipids form the matrix for healthy cells to keep the skin barrier strong and intact. You can help replenish ceramides by eating omega-rich foods like salmon, flax seed, and walnuts, which strengthen skin cells from the inside out.
Tip 4: Gentle Cleansers
I always recommend clients keep a gentle cleanser on hand to alternate with their more active cleansers/scrubs just to keep the skin balanced. This is also good for the body as well. During the colder months, switch to gentle body washes instead of bar soaps, fragrance free is best for sensitive skin.
Tip 5: DO NOT FORGET SPF!
Whether you’re out on the slopes, playing in the snow, or walking through a parking lot on an errand run, it’s just as important to apply sunscreen in the harsh winter weather as it is in the summer.

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season, stay warm and let me know if you need anything! Currently the Face Reality shipment is delayed from Thanksgiving but it should be here soon! By the end of the week I am hoping for! So if you see anything on the site that is sold out, hold tight, it’s coming!
