Create Space

“When we create any space within ourself, love will fill it” Deepak Chopra

It is such an incredible feeling when you mature enough to be able to create space in your life. I have been practicing this for a while now and it’s becoming easier each time I do it.enough so that you are able to give solutions a chance to emerge on their own. It is not having the desire to control or manipulate a situation or another person. I don’t feel the need to convince anybody of anything. People only understand from their level of awareness. We may have different perspectives, neither one of us is wrong, we just see things differently, and that is ok. Sometimes things need immediate attention (mostly this is not the case), and other times I will take 24-48 hours before I make a decision.

During that time, I don’t sit around and stress over the issue, I usually do something relaxing, like go for a walk outside, engage in some other activities, hang out with my children, read a book, whatever floats my boat. I try to get quiet and still inside so I can hear/feel the next right move to make. Truth is, we know what to do, we have the answers, we just second guess them and question our intuition. I am learning more and more not to do this. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s not right, period.

I love Iyanla Vanzant. She is a straight shooter, like me…LOL! What I love most about her is that she has had her own personal struggles and continues to have them, but is very transparent about that. We don’t have to have all the answers all the time, we are all on our own personal journey and one size does not fit all.

Creating space also means that we do not need to give anybody an answer right away. Never let anyone pressure you to move, speak or act sooner than you are ready. You may need to take a moment, or a while before you can give them an answer and that is just fine. If they have an issue with that, well that is their issue and not yours. Space is where God is, the creative force that is highly intelligent. In this space is the answers, to everything. We spend so much time rushing around, living outside ourselves, when all along, the answers were within us the whole time.

I vow to myself that I will walk away from anything that does not serve my greater good. This takes a higher level of awareness because I have to be able to recognize things for exactly what they are and not what what I want them to be. Once you see things clearly, move accordingly, quickly, do not delay.

#selflove

Nothing in life is certain, and it is that uncertainty that excites me. I don’t know what my life is going to bring me, but the more I press towards my visions, goals and desires (not even really knowing how they will manifest) the universe is responding to my forward movement. Take Action! That is the key, but always keep space there for unknown surprises. Allow your life to surprise you.

Create space in your heart. Stay open to love, give it away like you have a reservoir of it, never hoard your love, it needs to flow like water or it will become stale and stagnant. Love will always return to you 10 fold, it’s the universal law of giving and receiving, whatever you give away will always be returned to you. Love doesn’t have to come from a romantic type of love, it can come from everywhere, the trees, animals, strangers all show love in different ways, we just have to be aware enough to see and feel it.

How do you create space for yourself in your life? Let’s begin to create more space in our hearts and minds so we can heal.
