What Is Acne

Acne is a hereditary condition that begins deep within the follicle. The pores in an acne prone skin shed cells much faster than normal skin does. A normal skin type will shed cells about one time a day. The cells in acne prone skin can shed up to five times a day and the body just can not keep up with this influx of cell build up.
When this happens it forms a microcomedone, the beginning of all acne. It can take up to 90 days to turn into a blackhead or congestion under the skin; or if bacteria is present (which just loves to feed on dead skin cells and oil), it will turn into inflamed pimples, pustules or even cysts.
Because it takes up to 90 days for acne to form, you may still have a lot of acne under the surface that we can not see right now and will surface in the coming days. The products and acne system I have available to you will keep new acne from forming that would normally surface 90 days from now. The goal is to reduce that shedding process that is happening deep within the pore and have the skin behave like a normal skin type.
Healing your skin is a process and I want to clear your acne without drying or dehydrating the skin’s surface. We want to balance the skin, reduce inflammation, kill bacteria and allow the skin to heal itself while remaining hydrated and balanced. My Acne Bootcamp will have your acne under control in about 3-6 months (in most cases) depending on your type of acne. Some types of acne take longer to clear and your lifestyle habits will be a huge determining factor.
I will customize a home care regimen for you that takes at least 5 things into consideration:
- Type of acne
- Skin type
- Skin color
- Skin sensitivity
- Environment
The biggest part of getting your skin clear will be your commitment to doing your home care as instructed and following my lifestyle guidelines.
Clearing your acne will require you to:
- Stick with your home care regimen 2x a day
- Check Ins and or Treatments every 2 weeks
- Home Care Adjustments – consistent adjustments to boost your regimen
- Lifestyle Adjustments – foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, and pore clogging ingredients in skin and hair products
I closely monitor your progress and I will make sure you have the best regimen for your skin type, making adjustments, if necessary, to get your skin healthy and clear the fastest way possible.
Adjustments To Home Care:
Every 2 weeks we need to see if we can make your home care a bit stronger. I do not want your skin to get used to the the products, but also not make the regimen so strong that your skin gets dry and irritated. This method will keep your skin clearing up nicely.
Say goodbye to acne and hello to a clear and acne-free skin.
